Mission StatmentPromoting affordable education, medical services, sanitary living conditions, and a general higher standard of living for the people of Sudan to restore hope in the battle against illiteracy, poverty, diseases, and other human-threatening catastrophes. Vision1) COW hopes to help in the eradication of chronic illiteracy, from which the southern Sudanese community has suffered and lost a portion of its population to for more than a century. 2) Provision of clean drinking water sources will certainly interrupt the transmission of water-bearing disorders and therefore COW will advocate and unite forces on this sector, saving lives and protecting others from the perils of disease with resultant incapacity. 3) COW will work hard to improve women's standards in the Bor community and other southern Sudan ethnic identities by having them express their needs that affect their lives in the male-dominated world. This will be done by holding open sessions. 4) COW will promote income-generating activities within the Bor community to begin with, and other communities in the south, by offering community-based training sessions. 5) To see the improvement of the health community-based services available to the local population. 6) It will promote consulting services on peace initiatives among diverse ethnic communities in Sudan. It will work with the southern Sudanese government to achieve this goal. 7) COW hopes to transform subsistence agriculture to market agricultural production. This will surely improve the standard of living. COW has a mission to unite the efforts of Bor citizens, particularly the People of Goodwill, in collaboration with friends of other nationalities and ethnic identities to help promote affordable education, medical services, clean drinking water, etc… for the people of southern Sudan who have been affected by war for decades. Efforts to regain hope, social cohesion and a will to survive have brought COW into existence. It is determined to achieve these through awareness creation and fundraising/donations. Coordination of the activities carried on the ground in southern Sudan using the funds collected will ensure transparency and accountability.
